Private Schools that feed into Ivy's

Lawrenceville and Andover are the tops right now for Ivies.

That is about right only because those schools have more Ivy legacy kids. OP -- there is no school that "will get your kid into an Ivy". Do what we did and pay to have your kid become a world class athlete. Pick your sport, but make it a Preppy one to have a better chance. Our kid picked FH and crew and was recruited for both sports at Ivies and chose to do crew. Squash, tennis, fencing, lacrosse and diving are other good sports to get recruited to Ivies.

If you are at a top school it is often even harder to get in, because you are competing with all of the other top students in your top school. The Ivies know your school and pick the best of the best.

Your child's life will be significantly better - and thus they'll probably have a better chance of actually getting into an Ivy - if you remove your desire for them to go to an Ivy from the equation.

There's no better advice you can be given than this.

If you don't know the difference between "Ivy's" and "Ivies" this probably isn't happening for you OP

Richard Montgomery HS had four students get into Harvard alone. All were IB program students and all were minorities.
So statistically, RM is better than any DMV private for the Ivy-inclined, but high school is not just about getting into a brand name school.

The plural of "Ivy" is "Ivies."

Until SCOTUS rules that colleges can no longer take race into account for admissions

I guess if you want to cherry pick Harvard for RM and ignore the lesser impressive 1 student going to Yale and 2 to Princeton, then that's great. But looking at all admits to all Ivy League schools, it doesn't seem that much better, and in some cases worse on a per capita basis, than certain DMV privates.

Per capita doesn't work. Even the best publics will have students who aren't going to any college let alone an ivy. I think RM would look really good if you only looked at students on the top track (i.e. students who are competing with private school kids for spots)

Nobody wants to answer your question without sarcasm so I will, Georgetown Prep for boys. And, NCS or even more likely Holton for girls.

GDS had four or maybe five to Harvard last year- so better statistically than RM BUT just as meaningless as a guidepost as to what school any kid should pick to try and get these outcomes.

even if you limit to the 125 in IB, the per capita numbers aren't better.
