Indian - Dishes of India in the Belle View shopping center OR Taj of India on Richmond Highway - the two restaurants are about a mile away from each other. They are AWESOME!
Chinese - Peking Gourmet Inn in Falls Church - looks like a hole in the wall in a strip mall but guests include US Presidents and royalty from other countries. Outstanding Chinese food. Thai - Duangrats in Falls Church - again, looks like a hole in the wall but great food |
Forgot one: Mexican - El Paso on Richmond Highway in the Fairfax County portion of Alexandria - great food and a lot of fun! A lot of times when we've been there, we've been among the few Caucasian and Blacks there. A lot of people of Mexican or Hispanic heritage. |

YUM! We also like Elephant Jumps and Jewel of India. There’s a Turkish place in Falls Church called Yayla Bistro. We had a nice Peruvian meal at La Limeña Grill in Rockville. |
A really nice Casio watch. |

This is OP. I just snorted with laughter. That is exactlly what he desrves! Thanks all for all the great recommendations! Also for the person who said what is wrong with my racist self for using the word ethnic....I am south asian american. I did have a moment where I thought some person on DCUM is probably going to criticize this use. Here is what the NYT style book says: Stylebook says: ethnic. Use the word freely as an adjective (ethnic group), but not as a noun except in direct quotations. The political coinage (white ethnics) is condescending. I think if NYT is OK with this use, I am OK with it too. |
