License plate covers

I’ve had that clear glass cover on my plate for 3 years and haven’t been pulled over once. It’s even been through DC inspection twice now and passed both times without even a mention.


The inspection station doesn’t care, they only look at emissions.

Clear glass cover is different than tinted which is what is being discussed.


My clear glass cover turns opaque gray at the push of a button. That’s what we’re talking about here.


For what reason? Does one purchase this intending to commit crime?


Many people get behind the wheel of a car intending to break many laws. I'm not sure why it's so socially acceptable to many.
