if you wear your hair naturally curly

OP here - for those of you who are re-wetting in the mornings, are you then air drying? Do you add any more gel or just water?

I add more.gel and conditioner, and air dry. I leave early and can't wake up the whole house with a hair dryer.

My hairdresser swears you can make your curls last multiple days, but I’ve never been able to manage it.

Day 2 doesn't look quite as good, but still ok, day 3 I wear it up.

Also wash every 2 or 3 days, but condition most days. Always air dry - leave the house with a wet head, even in winter

For those who are washing every 3-4 days, doesn’t your hair get crazy tangled in the nape? That is the only thing I hate about keeping my curly hair long.

3 at best but that 3rd day isn’t like my best hair day ever. The curls are much more loose at that point. I just don’t have time to wash it and do the whole curl routine and dry every single day so I settle for having 4 good hair days a week, 2 ok days and 1 not great day in the weekend when I don’t care.

I have 3A curls also. I have to completely wet my hair every day (shower), air dry, same products, but only wash hair every two days.

I don’t have curly hair, but my daughters do. One of them can’t maintain curls more than a day or two, but the other one has tighter ringlets, and she can wet her hair and add a curl refresher and maintain her curls for 5 days.

2c hair- I use the shower attachment and completely rewet my hair (not too much though). I don't have to use much product the second time. I wrap it up in a hair towel and then redry it for like 30 seconds.

But yeah, curls are hard to make perfect. If I have an event or major presentation where I want to make sure I look perfect, I straighten my hair and then curl with a wand.

I want to buy a silk bonnet, but am not sure I could sleep in one or if it would bug me. Sleep is hard to come by these days.

I do a full rinse and condition, then gel when done with the shower.

My hair is a mix of 2B/2C and fairly thin, so they flatten out when I sleep. I also work out every morning, so I need to at least wet my hair (I was 2-3 times/week, after swimming).

Mine doesn't, but my curls are mostly 2C and hair is somewhat fine. I wash 1x a week and get ~4 good days. By day 5 its some sort of bun, ponytail, or braid situation.

For those who exercise daily, does your hair not get dirty?

Depends how sweaty I get. If I'm just lifting weights, my head doesn't usually get that sweaty. Going for a run on a really humid summer day? I need to rinse off.

I don’t mind a little sweat in my hair, personally. It dries and it doesn’t look bad or smell bad.

I'm a 3 A/B and am the same way. As I've gotten older, my hair is looking better on day 2 than it used to but still not fabulous. I used to have to wash my hair every day because it was really, really oily.
