2028 Boys Lacrosse

By middle school, they lose all of their friends layers who have good shots at D1 to other programs since their strength isn’t in getting their older boys into great college programs.

Not a parent of Madlax player. This statement is silly. Madlax has by far the best college placement. The DC Dogs and now the 24 class already has top D1 kids committed. Some years Next Level does good as well. VLC has also had some strong years for recruiting classes. If you have more than 10 kids committed to college programs, that is considered very strong. Only 10 play at a time. These clubs have 15-16 each year and at strong D1 programs.

Not PP, but there was a post on this board that compared this year’s commits between MadLax and other programs and MadLax was anything but impressive. Maybe this year was a bad year for them but they didn’t seem to have much luck

Madlax 24s:
Villanova, Syracuse, Bucknell, Utah, Mount
Next Level 24s:
Michigan x3, Hopkins, Ohio State, ND, Delaware, BU, Maryland, Bucknell, UVA, Duke

NL 24 team is loaded, compares favorably to the 23 Madlax DC Dogs. Madlax 24 "only" has 5 D1 commits so far, but still some impressive schools and lacrosse programs. Probably more to come for both programs.

This area is blessed with 3 of the best clubs in the Country, the hate on this forum is peak internet.

This year would be 2023 these players are still HS players and some are still finding a home. The 2024 class is too early to reach a verdict. However Madlax has as good a historic record as any club out there. Some don’t like the owner they may take large rosters or move players to win games but recruiting success is the strength of Madlax.

Madlax 2028 team coach and owner is trash. This guy retroactively changed his Madlax Capital team name to Madlax Monuments for the fall because his team didn't get the results at Adrenaline Gold Cup or fall NAL. Class act.

Somebody really has it in for CM and is hitting all the boards lately. Lots to criticize, but I think that the name change might have been for World Series of Youth Lacrosse. A team needs to play a certain number of tournaments to qualify and perhaps MadLax wanted to include that one on its resume. Monuments is the name they normally use for World Series teams. Just a theory.

If you want to slam MadLax, maybe talk about how badly they typically do in the World Series? They have so many holdbacks on their teams that they can’t go with their regular roster, and they can’t pull in outside players due to their reputation, so they fill the holes with their DMV players and by pulling up from younger teams. The 2026 team was awful and the 2027 would have been but they didn’t play. The 2028 team will likely get killed without their one player. Perhaps you should try that angle for your next post?

Someone’s kid was not invited to the monuments team? Don’t worry your credit card is still on file. They will still be charging it for the Capital Team. No need to scrape the Madlax sticker off the Range Rover just yet.

Are there any competitive teams for 2028 toward Loudoun?

VLC is looking to add players at their 2028 team!

We would like someone that competes in the HOCO league during the spring.

Well you have only one season left so Hoco is basically irrelevant at this point. My son has always played at Hoco and it’s not really a big deal.

That team is all but dead. I don’t even think the club or whatever is left has every realized the defections that have gone on in the last 24hrs.

Elite: Madlax, Next Level and BLC. NL and BLC are both across the bridge, but some NOVA families make the trek. BLC might move to DC Express team at this age group, I know its somewhere around middle school but not positive.
AAA: VLC, probably closes option, not sure where 28s practice but club uses fields in Herndon (Word of Grace)
AA: Top Caliber (Fairfax, Madlax DMV
A: VLC second team.

You could also check with Hammers, Hard Lax, and The St James to see if they are fielding teams in that age group. We have found the best information on the respective clubs Instagram and Twitter pages. Traditional Websites for Madlax and NL seem to be the only semi and current ones.

Not so sure about this. I’d say the VLC 2nd team would give first team a run for their money. VLC 1st team is so toxic exactly Zero players accepted offers to move up from 2nd to 1st. Cant imagine the first team is long for this life.

Wow, this was a good prediction is there ever was one.

It’s only a matter of time before the good ones are playing for Next Level.

Any thoughts on teams to try out for after summer tournaments in the DMV now that HOCO is coming to an end?
