Non religious. |
| Unicorn Prep on Shangri-La Road. |
| Templeton Academy is $19K |

OP you are not going to find a non religious private school with good academics. You need to either accept a religious education, higher tuition or try the lottery for a charter school.
We are at a Big 3 school (religious at that). We hope to qualify for aid now that all 3 of our kids will be in school and it’s hard. We never eat out, no vacations, watch what we spend all the time, etc. It’s worth it to us, but it’s not for everyone… |
Good academics yes. Good everything no. Basis is cheaper and has robust academics as evidenced by the really impressive college matriculation. But it lags elsewhere. |
Thank you! Yes, both kids are in kinder/preK so we're looking to move in an area where I can still commute to DC in 45 mins but also near an private school that is hopefully around 25k/year. Appreciate these recs! |
Congressional in Falls Church starts at almost $27k and goes up to almost $33k for the middle school. |
BIM tuition is over $30K now, cheaper than the $50K price band but not a bargain either, given the lack of facilities and such that you noted. |
| Is APS really that bad?? If you can’t pay $50k a kid and aren’t willing to go to a less expensive Catholic school, I think your kids will get a better education in the local public schools. |

Pinecrest in Annandale is about $18k but only goes to 6th.
Westminster in Annandale is about $26k - $33k. |
This plan seems tenuous at best. You are really going to move your entire family for a cheap private school that might suck? |
|
almost impossible to find a non religious affordable school
sorry!!! |
Very mixed opinions on this one |

Mater Amoris - not religious & if you move in to the Blake cluster you'll meet lots of families that love Blake for HS

| You are not going to find a non-religious private school for $25K. You're better off going public if you can't do Catholic. |
