They always cleaned it up. Now they don’t and it begets more vandalism. Before NYC mayor Rudy Giuliani went batshit crazy, he was right under the broken window theory to jump on quality of life crimes before the situation got worse. Before then, graffiti on the RCP bridges and stonework was usually removed within a couple of weeks. Now it seems they just let it go. Just like the Metro l, our parks are being trashed on the altar of wokeness and tolerance for lawlessness.

I've lived in DC for 30 years and this is nonsense. Things were much worse in the 90's. Nothing ever got fixed back then.
