Singer Island is basically W Palm Beach. |
It's like Rockville. However, there are beaches nearby. We stay at the Singer Island Marriott and like it. We've also done the Lion Country Safari which is about the same price as the place in Reston and 1000 times better. There's also the palm beach zoo, manatee lagoon and the Loggerhead Marinelife Center in Juno Beach. |
Not really. You drive through some very nasty areas to get there unless you approach from the North side of the Island in Palm Beach Lakes. It's literally as East as you can go there, and just North of Palm Beach. |
Tons of kids at Singer Island Marriott, OP. Go there. It's nice. Riviera Beach is not nice, but you won't need to leave the island if you are just going for a few days. Kids can play in the pool or on the beach. Plenty of restaurants right there for a few nights. There's a publix if you forget anything or want groceries. The "rooms" are condos and have one or two bedrooms plus a full kitchen, living room and washer and dryer. |
I’m from WPB, love to take kids. Lion country safari is fun for day, beautiful beaches, nice walks in Palm Beach on bike path by water. Sloans in city place or on Clematis for ice cream. You can take water taxi to peanut island to swim, snorkel, and picnic for the day. Miami is a bit of a city jungle (lived there too for a while), but that depends on what you are looking for. Have fun! |
PP here. A few reccs for fun restaurants in the area and beach options :
https://www.guanabanas.com (in Jupiter, 25 min north of WPB) https://sailfishmarina.com/ (singer island, 10-15 mins for WPB) I like guanabanas at night, sailfish for lunch. Nice parks in Jupiter on the water, recommend googling. They have picnic areas, swimming. (Dubois is one) |
Has anyone heard of Shark Wake Park?
