+2 Made me really sad to read. I think a lot of commentary on spanking is overblown BUT I was only spanked at 5+ years old and I do think that is a different thing than spanking a baby or toddler. (We don't spank, but I don't hold it against my mom who did.)

I am not opposed to disciplining with time outs but at least my two year old is just still too young. It sucks but realistically it’s just still my job to prevent anything harmful. I physically remove her from anything dangerous but I don’t think time out will work yet. I hate to say it because I feel for you but a raisin in the newborn’s mouth means inadequate supervision. You’ll have to wear the baby during snack time or use a playpen, something.
