Early natural pregnancy while in between clinics

SGF doesn’t test progesterone even with IVF pregnancies, but if you squeak and insist they will measure that as well. Couldn’t hurt to get one progesterone measurement. The thing is there is almost nothing anyone can do at this point. It’s either viable or not.

Forgot to add- chances are better that it’s viable than not. This is a really great surprise!

Thank you again all! Went in for my second HCG draw and made sure they measured my progesterone, my HCG was in the 6400's so still rising nicely now onwards to the 6wk scan, have bit of PTSD since last time we didn't hear a heartbeat. What will be, will be. Appreciate the support & words of encouragement!

Fingers crossed for you!

+1! Even though you you got pregnant on your own you can get the extra early monitoring with SGF - given your infertility history that is usually two ultrasounds before you "graduate" to your OB around 9 weeks plus monitoring your HCG. Congratulations!

A natural conception doesn't need to be closely monitored like an IVF conception (barring various medical issues). Just go to a regular OB.

A regular OB wouldn't see you until week 7, so yes she needed to go to her RE

Ask your OB to do it and ask for an early prenatal visit. My OB saw me at 6 weeks after a miscarriage to confirm heartbeat. Ask, ask, ask!! Congrats, OP!

OP here, thank you everyone for the guidance and well-wishes! Everything going smoothly so far (knock on wood), I was able to see my OB at 6 weeks, 9 weeks, and 12 - am just waiting for NIPT results and crossing fingers everything comes back okay.

Has been a crazy ride but I am so thankful, and know we are very lucky to be in this situation. Sending everyone well wishes for your own journeys x
