“The national cutoff for commended students was 207 for the 2022 scholarship cycle. Test-takers with a 207 or higher became either commended students or semifinalists. The scholarship program determines semifinalists on a state-proportional system.” From Sept 2022.
You can look up your kid’s score and figure this out. |
207!?! Didn’t it use to be about 212. |
For SSL award, if you already meet the requirements, can you list but say “anticipated June 2023?” Like college seniors do for their degrees? |
I think you can say that. My kid has 350 hours instead of 75 and is going to add that to her Common App. |
I don't think mine got any communication on that. Graduated last year. |
RM does have Honor Roll. They listed it the first 3 quarters last year for each grade on the school website. Basically, 450+ students from each grade was included. |
Whitman hasn’t notified nat’l merit commended. |
Test was a year ago. Why does it take so long? |
That is a question for the National Merit Scholarship Board. |
They apparently have the letters, just haven’t given them out yet for some reason. Probably so many kids they don’t want to take the time right now. My kid’s counselor said to put it since DC knows qualified. |
I found a list online - not just for MCPS of course:
