If your kid is in MCPS, what kind of awards are there?

Do the schools still have honor roll? I’ve never seen anything, despite top grades.

Pretty much everyone is on honor roll, the requirement is like C+

Whitman does not have honor roll or honor societies. Officially kids don’t get the SSL award until graduation so our counselor said it is misrepresenting to put it on common app now. Commended Natl Merit has not been announced yet. So at Whitman, the only honors that can be used on apps being in the fall are AP Scholar or Semi finalist Natl Merit.

RM doesn't do honor roll but they have NHS.

This is not true. My child received Letter of Commendation for National Merit a couple weeks ago.
