Best parenting book you have read

It’s not a book but the Taking Cara Babies newborn course was so useful.

1, 2, 3 Magic. The only good parenting book ever. All the others were a waste of time and money, threw them all out.

I keep hearing this mentioned. Can you give a quick summary of the process here?

+1 to duct tape parenting and I’m going to get self driven child based on this rec. duct taped parenting actually significantly changed my parenting in a really concrete way and I saw actual changes in our family dynamic and my kids independence. If you were the pp that recommended it here on dcum before, thank you! I saw it here and highly recommend it to all

"Yes, Your Teen is Crazy!"

The relevant teen is now 20, and I probably read this when she was 13 or 15 or so.

I've read a lot of parenting books, and this one was both the most useful AND the most fun to read! Added bonus, I learned that there are lots of situations where your job is to DO NOTHING and that was super helpful because I was trying so hard...

I read it with a highlighter and pencil and kept it on my nightstand for a couple years...

It was the BEST ADVICE I EVER RECEIVED from DCUM

Yes! And then I pulled it back out again when middle school rolled around. It was the best way to disengage from the talking back nonsense. It really helped fix it pretty quickly.

Yes. Worked forever!
