Yes! And then I pulled it back out again when middle school rolled around. It was the best way to disengage from the talking back nonsense. It really helped fix it pretty quickly.

How old are your kids? My favorites for different stages were:

the Happiness Project (not actually a parenting book but it's good for parenting of young kids)

Siblings without Rivalry

Tiger mom (not because I am a tiger mom but it was super interesting to see different styles of parenting and help me create my own (very different) philisophy.
