Magnatiles if you’re OK with a higher price point.
Board games are a good idea too. The Sneaky Squirrel game is all about order and sorting so that would be a good one. |
My 4yo has loved legos since he was under 3. |
They have toy cleaning kits (broom, mop, dustpan) that are really cute.
Also agree with the suggestion of the fruits/veggies that can be cut and reassembled thanks to the magic of Velcro. Both Melissa and Doug |
My 3 year old loved foam color shapes that fit into each other (like a rainbow circle that broke into rings). He had a whole set and used them for all sorts of things, like balancing them to make design structures on the wall.
He also really liked colored small wooden dominoes (ones to set up then knock over). He liked puzzles too. |
My DH just turned 4.
He loved magnatiles, Sneaky Snacky Squirrel, Duplos, and so many jigsaw puzzles. My older son was more into Hot Wheels and wooden trains, but also loved magnatiles and Duplos. Neither kid is particularly into order, though. I was as a kid (I color-coded my Smarties!). |
My son does these things to! He loves loves loves his magnatiles and his Legos and he also loves Hotwheels, which he can put in rainbow and size order. |
I will say that while Magnatiles are expensive they are the most played with thing in my house and my kid gets really creative with them so I feel like they are worth the money |
