Masala chai hostess, that sounds lovely. Do you have room for one more? 😉

People who are suggesting the Ritz, the Mandarin, etc. — yes, I know that the posh hotels often offer an afternoon tea. But trying to find something with piano, canapes, the works. PP who recommended the Annapolis place — that sounds like a perfect excuse for a day trip. Thank you!

Sigh. That would be WITHOUT the piano, canapés, three tiers of pretty little confections, etc. Distracted by thoughts of clotted cream.

I love that scene in Bridgerton where Kate makes chai & complains about English tea.

You are welcome! It’s very charming and in a lovey area of Annapolis!

Berryville May be further away than you had in mind but it’s a lovely drive and this tea room is perfect.

It definitely is, but what the OP described as what she is looking for is different than this. They’re both great, just different.

Hope you had a nice time with your neighbors this afternoon!

Teaism does nice ginger scones (and nice tea, of course). Sadly no clotted cream, though. I like them for reasonably priced, low key, leisurely tea with a book.

WTF? It's the OG tea, loser white lady.
