Ours was $4800 to include every single last thing child could ever need, including replacement retainers for life. It’s a good feeling. |
| For both of my kids, cost was around $5k all-in for only one round needed and insurance covered $3500. |
|
$4000-$4500 in Burke. Phase 1 with palate expander, head gear, and retainer for 9-12 months.
|
| I was just quoted approximately $7500 for Invisalign for 1 year. Is that a rip off? |
| It’s costing $3600 (and insurance covers $1500 of that) for ~20 months of braces for my kid. Only one phase, nothing complicated, and only have to go in about every 10 weeks. One year done and things are looking great. |
| Just go to Costa Rica. Less than half of what US charges. And enjoy the place while you are there. |
My son has Invisalign (but a different brand, Spark) estimated for 12-18 months, and we were charged $3700. To get a 2nd and 3rd opinion. |
Uh, no. |
|
Uh, yes. 2 of my colleagues have done this for their kids. One of them even bought land while they were down there.
A neighbor has done it for himself and speaks very highly of the quality. |
Let’s be reasonable. |
Yes, by at least 50%. Don't pay a penny above 5K, especially for invisalign which doesn't even involve any work on the part of the ortho. |
| Costa Rica scouting it out trip here we come. We've wanted to go there anyway. |
| Serious question, how would it work to go to Costa Rica? You have to go for adjustments every few weeks, is the idea you'd get a local orthodontist for that? Move to Costa Rica for 2 years? I just don't understand... |
It was a stupid suggestion. |
| Our phase 1 around Mclean was about $5000, with insurance covering $1000 of that. |
