Same— except i started graying a bit earlier. Im Indian. I color my hair at home. Since it’s naturally black, the gray really stands out. I just use Revlon, in natural black, soft black, or brown black. It’s cheap and works, but i still resent the fact that the gray grows back so quickly. |
| 30. At 42 I would be almost completely gray if I didn’t color my hair. I was a childhood blond that turned light brown if that matters but I come from a long line of early gray-ers. My mother and her father were both gray very early. My grandfather was totally and completely gray at age 28 when my mother was born. |

In my early twenties I’d pluck out the odd strands that would show up. At 27 I realized there were too many to pluck and I started coloring my hair. I’m in my fifties now and I’d be completely grey if I didn’t dye my hair.
And honestly I’d just let it go grey if I hadn’t had my kids as late in life as I did. I don’t want to go to PTO meetings and have people think I’m the grandma! |
| Female, saw the fist grey hairs about 40, now 50 and I would say I am 20% grey. I have naturally blonde hair so it just looks lighter as the grey hair is actually white. Natural highlights! |
| First grays popped up in 30s (medium brown hair), immediately started highlighting hair to hide it, fast forward to 40s, have to switch to full color and highlights to hide it. Late 40s I stopped fighting a losing battle and now 50s and natural with probably 80% gray on top and brown underneath. |
| 23, hair was medium brown. |

| I had 3 grey hairs at 13 and by 23 I had streaks either side and on the top. By my late 40s my hair has turned entirely white, like an 80 yr old's hair might look. |
Uh, your natural color is gray/white now. Sorry lady. |

I’m surprised by all the late responses on here. I’m 36 and all my friends have gray hair.
I feel somewhat like an outlier and have no grays yet. |
| 57 female. Strawberry blonde. Only a few visible grey hairs around my temples. There’s probably more but it blends in. |
| It’s so genetic. My mom is 70 and her hair still hasn’t turned grey. |

Mid 20s. Accelerated after having children starting in late 20s. Significantly gray now in my mid-40s, but the rest of me still looks young and I refuse to give up and let it grow out.
I currently color my hair every 4 weeks and have products I use for the in between times. I am not good enough or patient enough to do box color. My original hair color is dark brown/almost black. |
| First gray hair was at 12. Mostly gray by 30. |
| High school age. 16-18 |
