Definitely not happening anytime soon. As long as abortion is banned (by federal law) from being covered IVF will be too.

Okay not factual at all - but thanks for bringing nonrelevant politics into this.

FYI Maryland IVF coverage is based on where your employer is, not where you live. So get an employer HQ’d in MD and continue to live wherever you want.

False.

Thanks for posting this OP. I was coming here to ask same question. Starbucks, Amazon, and Lowe’s all seem to offer. Interested to hear other options as I’m in same boat!

All the Big 4 accounting firms cover IVF (and have surrogacy reimbursement)- PWC, Deloitte and KPMG

I work in DC but live in MD. My DC company did not have IVF coverage, so I instead got my own health insurance through the state of MD. It was a lot pricier per month by getting the insurance on my own but overall saved me thousands on the cost of IVF and meds. On a side note, it is currently open enrollment in MD. My husband recently got a remote job from a company based out of Illinois. Since that state has IVF coverage laws and even though I don’t live in that state, we have IVF coverage through his company.

Never going to happen thanks to conservative law makers.

Fed and military have to pay $$$$ when they have a medical termination. Baby with no brain, but a heartbeat? Tough luck. IVF? Nope.

I’m fairly impressed as it seems you were the baby conceived with no brain yet a beating heart. You must know how rare (impossible! as some may say) that is.

Could you elaborate more on which Maryland insurance plan you've got on their exchange? I tried to call their representatives and they were not familiar with specific plans terms and conditions

DP here but I have had an "exchange plan" this year for IVF coverage. I found the plan on the exchange but then purchased directly from CareFirst because it was easier than navigating the exchange. I have carefirst PPO gold but their other exchange plans also have ivf coverage (they have to by Maryland's mandate).

Similar situation here. We live in DC but my husband’s law firm is headquartered in chicago. Our health plan is through BCBS Illinois, which covers IVF because it is a requirement in Illinois.
