iPad use: what's your elementary school policy on using them?

Apparently having kids all have to remember their own passwords has been a disaster. Reports are that 1-2 iPads are having to be wiped and reformatted per day because kids have forgotten their password.

Who on earth thought it was a good idea to have K-3rd graders remember their own passwords with no teacher support? Good job APS.

Oh my goodness, for reals?? DS came home today asking what his password was. I didn't know but I was sure somebody else would. Ha.
