Is going places alone a good & viable way to meet people?

Please avoid dating people in MeetUps. You will lose all of the MeetUp friends if it does work out.

If you meet someone while you are out alone, good for you. I have much better luck as a woman meeting interesting and interested men while I am out alone.

I travel for work semi-frequently and always somehow end up meeting or talking to people on the plane, at airports, sitting at hotel bars. Professional conferences are also another great venue for randomly meeting people.

You must be a naturally friendly and out-going person.

What's your best tip for finding friends?

I like a particular kind of music, so I go to shows and eventually started to see all the same people and talked to them and became music friends.

May I ask where you go social dancing by yourself?

A friend goes to 618 Whiskey for salsa on Fridays

OP- do you work in person? That's where I've met most of my friends. You could also try school alumni events.
