When the president leaves the WH it requires dozens of police vehicles to secure the route. As we saw with the insurrection, DC is a very dangerous place, and the president needs to be protected.

This was not a presidential motorcade. I have lived in the neighborhood for almost 30 years; I know what a motorcade looks like and the differences between them depending on who is involved and whether it is a time of peace and heightened security.
