| Does anyone know what caused the huge police reaction at the White House today? I’ve lived within a few blocks for 30 years and never saw anything like it. |

| I have guests in from out of town and was down there yesterday and was stunned. The only thing I could think of was threats from folks angry about TFG and his stolen classified documents. But yes, never seen anything like that |

| OP here. Horseback cops told us it was a crime scene and clearly didn’t know what it was. |

Definitely not. It was extremely real and activated more cops of different types than I have ever seen together. |

| I miss the days when I could walk by with my two young kids to see the WH through just one fence and spend long minutes there without any kind of issues. There used to be a funny squirrel greeting visitors. |

President Biden was making a trip up to the British Embassy to sign the condolence book for the Queen.
When the president leaves the WH it requires dozens of police vehicles to secure the route. As we saw with the insurrection, DC is a very dangerous place, and the president needs to be protected. |
