I can't find it either, but here are these: https://www.nzherald.co.nz/world/new-who-guidelines-monkeypox-could-be-classified-as-an-sexually-transmitted-infection/MIAHNFE3J333722PRAGV5N5FQI/ https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/monkeypox-is-a-sexually-transmitted-infection-and-knowing-that-can-help-protect-people/ "Skin-on-skin transmission during sex is a sexually transmitted infection." |
There's been a few cases of kids getting it from a parent at home, who in turn likely got it from a sexual partner. Imagine sharing towels, cups, hugs and kisses goodnight, etc. (close parental contact) |
Neither article excludes other methods of transmission. Sexual contact is the most common transmission method currently, but it is not the only one. |
Exactly. My dad says sh!t like this. |
The Commonwealth keeps monkeypox data here https://www.vdh.virginia.gov/monkeypox/data-in-virginia/
The data reveals the risk and to what population. I wonder if it is more transmissible than herpes, and if not, why don't we get notified of herpes cases at school? |
