| Do you even need to use the ground beef tonight? Lots of options for the beef but you could just open a can of soup or have breakfast for dinner..... So many meals don't require vegetables. I don't understand the problem. |
The he figures it out. |
| So don’t have them? I don’t understand the issue. |
| I'd do something with tomato sauce and/or canned beans. |
| I’m kind of envious of the fact that you can’t conceive of the idea of dinner without vegetables. (My kids and DH all hate veggies so it’s kind of the opposite in our house). |
| Burgers. Surely, you have a spare frozen or canned veges somewhere in your house. |
| Order takeout? |
|
Canned tomatoes are a vegetable. So are onions! Garlic! Potatoes! Do you have any of those?
If you also have beans (or even if you don’t) you could make chili. Meatloaf? |
|
Pasta with olive oil, butter, salt, crushed red pepper, black pepper, parm or similar cheese even mozzarella. Do you have anything like canned artichokes or roasted red peppers or olives in your pantry? You could add those. A sprinkle of Italian seasoning would add green!
Pasta + tomato sauce is a totally acceptable meal in my house sometimes. Cheese, add ins, etc.. Patty melts with fried onions (do you have onions?) with cheese and frozen fries. Do you have pickles? They're green! Do you have neighbors who might spare 1 tomato? If I asked my "neighborhood moms" group text if they had a tomato or basil I am sure I could get some (basil would be for the pasta, above, obviously). Order a pizza with veggies or pick up two dominos mediums on the way home, with veggies. Or ChikFilA drive thru works - 30 nuggets, a new orders of fries, and a large fruit salad and/or kale salad. |

I would make something with any cans you have along with the pasta and meat.
Or have hamburgers and canned whatever you have. Do you have any cans of something around? |
|
This is such a weird thread. What will happen if you don’t have veggies in your meal? I can think of dozens of meals that don’t have them that could be made depending on what you consider “staples”.
Pasta and sauce Rice and beans Mac and cheese Burgers Grilled cheese Breakfast for dinner (eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, toast, the list goes on…) PB&J Meatloaf and potatoes or rice Quesadillas You really can’t think of anything? |
| op, please come back and let us know what you had for dinner today!! I'm so curious after all our suggestions. |
|
I made dinner and even though I have vegetables, I didn’t really use any. Unless you count onions and garlic, which I don’t.
Philly cheesesteak pasta. Not healthy, but not an every day/week/month meal. So delicious |
| I made tuna, noodles, and, cheese. Added some capers to make it fancy. I have frozen peas, but did not add them. |
Wouldn’t those be veggies? |
