And meetings all day, can't get to the store. DH thinks Instacart is too expensive, so I need to get creative. What can I make?
I have pantry staples and ground beef. |
| Ask DH to run to the store. |
Won't happen. |
Brown the ground beef. There are many options to make with ground beef, just depends what pantry staples you have. Do you have pasta, spaghetti sauce and cheese? Or make sloppy joes if you have buns. You can make meatloaf and other meals without veggies. This isn't really difficult. |
| Go tomorrow? I don’t understand |
| without knowing what your other pantry staples are, or other foods you have in your fridge it would be hard to make good suggestions for you. The quickest thing I can think of is spaghetti with meat sauce. |
Yes, that certainly helps to make dinner tonight. |
|
Frozen peas? Carrots? Onions?
Meat sauce is easy or small meatballs with grated onions with the ground beef. Then add whatever carb you like. |

If he thinks instacart is too expensive and he won't go to the store let him figure it out.
Personally, I'd say eff it and do uber eats. |
| Spaghetti and meatballs are always a hit in my home. |

snarky answer: If DH has no time and still thinks instacart is expensive, he should shop and cook. (Also try shipt, I find their prices better.)
realistic answer: Hamburgers, casserole, tacos, bake it into pastry puffs, make a szechuan sauce and top over rice; I guess it all depends on what else you have? What else ya got other than veggies? |
| There is no actual requirement to have a vegetable every night. Fruit? salsa? Apple sauce? Double up tomorrow. Whatever. |
| So just skip them for the day. You won't get rickets. |
+1 Just skip it tonight. |

And I have too many. This is the time of year when my husband's vegetable patch produces. We have giant zucchini and lots of tomatoes. I give half of them away. |
