I got mine on Tuesday - healthy, 40 year-old female. I had a sore arm about 12 hours after the injection, no other noticeable symptoms for this Moderna bivalent booster (or any of the other Pfizer COVID vaccinations I received).
Ditto but only for about 10 hours. It passed quickly but yeah chills and nausea. Took Tylenol and it helped. No headache. |
25 hours past my Moderna booster - sore arm for a few hours and that was it.
Horrible headache, body aches, nausea and sore arm. I’m about 18 hours post-shot.
Got the shot at 9:30 yesterday morning, had chills/fever/elevated heart rate overnight (along with the standard sore arm). Pretty much back to normal this a.m.
Got the shot at noon yesterday. Chills, headache and a very sore arm overnight. Feeling a little better this morning.
Got the shot late yesterday afternoon. Slightly sore arm, mild headache, and swollen arm pit gland 18 hours later. Not terrible. Was able to do a 25-min run at an easy pace this morning.

After three pfizer shots for my primary series, I decided to get the Moderna new booster Saturday afternoon. Woke up feeling blah yesterday, and was blah all day. Like achy, tired, maybe a mild headache for parts of the day, but nothing too bad. Good day to stay on the couch and binge tv which I did. Very similar to how I felt after the last 2 pfizer doses.
Slept okay last night, feeling pretty much back to normal today. Low back aches a little but that is probably from my exercise class Saturday morning combined with being in my mid 40s. |
Sore arm, some fatigue. That's about it. Got it yesterday afternoon. Similar to my reaction to previous COVID shots.
Got it 4 days ago, a little achy the next day but tylenol took care of it. Still have a slightly sore, red spot at the injection site. Overall, much milder reaction than to my last booster (also Moderna).
My first three shots were Pfizer; I switched to Moderna for the new booster. The side effects were rough, but basically the same as before: fatigue, body aches, headache, very low-grade temp.
Same here. |
Female, mid-40s, no underlying health issues, have not had covid despite kids and DH having it. Have had three Moderna vaccines and no reactions to any of those except for a sore arm. This new booster though--it's a bit of a doozy. Had mild fever, chills, overall muscle aches and headache about 12hrs in. Took Tylenol which relieved most of the symptoms but the headache and muscle aches creeped back up after it wore off. By day 2, felt pretty normal except for some mild muscle aches. If you can get it though, just get it over with. I hadn't had a vaccine since Nov, so wanted to boost myself up for the fall/winter. Hoping this helps! Does anyone know how long the new vaccine is supposed to be effective for?
PP here-crept not creeped. think my brain is still recovering from this!
Sore arm for about 24 hours. This was my fourth Moderna shot.
