? Don't be ridiculous. Horseback riding used to be a male occupation, for wars and hunting, for centuries. There are still plenty of men who hunt on horseback, or horsemen at the Olympics, and it's usually men who play polo.
It's like for ballet. Ballet used to be exclusively a male art when it was invented in France. Both of these are examples of activities populated by girls at the beginner/recreation levels, but more balanced at the top levels.

Seriously? Have your read about how horses have been used throughout history? The women rode side saddle because it was deemed unlady like for them to ride like a man did. Ranchers throughout the US still use horses to round up cattle and get around their land and a lot of them are male.

My unathletic son loves white water kayaking. 10 is a great age to start with Calleva's after school classes.

Good idea to have some unique activities for resume building now.

Travel blogging with some unique focus is a good way to get into good colleges. For example - you can focus on the native food grains of various countries or native art. Make a website for various native artists work too.
