Do you have a friend or family member who would be willing to drive you to the airport? They could either help you check in the stuff and leave your car and take a cab home, or just drop you off and then someone else could pick you up?
The hardest part will be getting from the parking garage to the airport with the luggage and the car seats. Where are you flying into? I have rented car seats before and it can be a mixed bag, but if there’s no one to help you, you may want to risk it. Or you are meeting people on the other end, see if they know anyone who could loan you car seats. Another option - stroller and light weight car seats. They sell strollers bags with wheels, and some that can be worn as a backpack. If either of your kids is a runner and they wont hold hands and walk next to you thru the parking garage, I’d seriously think about just bringing a booster for the older and a Ride Safer vest for the younger, so much easier to transport and the vest can be in your checked bag. I have flown with three kids, 6, 3 and 1, and getting from the car to the counter took several years off my life. And I had a 6yo who could hold a sibling’s hand and/or drag a big suitcase! |
