I still don't think they interfered or meddled. I'd say it was more of a strategy - after all, the ads disclosed who was paying for them. I just think it gave Republican voters a chance to show us who they really are, which is of course Trumpy idiots. Also, I don't like this strategy for the Democrats - if the governor race was Moore vs Schulz, at least we'd be assured that the winner would probably be sane. So even though Cox should lose by a lot, I just hate that there's even a small chance he could win, because you just never know. |
You're an idiot. If Democratic ads held that kind of sway over Republicans, the world would be a much different, and better, place right now. |
You think the person defending the democrats is relying on Fox News? Ok. But, I'll play - what do the Ds do other than run ads? |

Trump has significant sway in the GOP
Many GOP voters support Trump Cox was endorsed by Trump Thus it can be inferred that Cox had a pretty good shot at winning without the help of democrats. |
Running some ads alerting people that Cox is a Trumpist is not "meddling." |
+1000 Please read this y'all. Cox would have won with or without Dems pumping him up. |
| I think its inconclusive to determine how much impact, if any, the DGA had at electing Cox. |
There are people in both parties asking this question. |
The answer for all of you is nothing. The DGA ran ads showing that one of the candidates who was likely to win and face their nominee was Trumpy and extreme. Then Maryland Republicans voted for both him and the even more Trumpy and extreme literal Confederate for Attorney General whom the DGA spent nothing supporting. Voilà. |
