Cox is scum but as far him and these stupid quotes in the media is because he won thanks to the Democratic Party meddling and interfering with the Republican primary.
Nice fry. Peroutka won the AG race without any meddling from Democrats. The Republican base is just crazy.
Yes they are but don’t walk around with blinders regarding the democrats either. https://www.nytimes.com/2022/07/20/us/politics/maryland-governor-dan-cox.html “ The Democratic Governors Association proceeded to spend more than $1.16 million on TV ads reminding Republican voters of Mr. Cox’s loyalty to Mr. Trump and endorsement from him.” https://www.nbcnews.com/think/amp/rcna39099 https://amp.theguardian.com/us-news/2022/jul/25/hogan-trump-maryland-democratic-collusion-dan-cox-qanon-wes-moore There are more articles out there, these are just a couple. Now, you might agree with this tactic and that’s your prerogative , but you can’t deny that there was meddling.
Stop saying the Democrats made the Republicans do it. Peroutka won my similar margins as Cox over a similarly sane R to Schulz with zero meddling.
I’m not saying they made them do anything but they did interfere.
I still don't think they interfered or meddled. I'd say it was more of a strategy - after all, the ads disclosed who was paying for them. I just think it gave Republican voters a chance to show us who they really are, which is of course Trumpy idiots. Also, I don't like this strategy for the Democrats - if the governor race was Moore vs Schulz, at least we'd be assured that the winner would probably be sane. So even though Cox should lose by a lot, I just hate that there's even a small chance he could win, because you just never know.
