| Thank you! Many choices most of which I had never heard of. I am in Maryland, and should be able to try most of these. |
| If you’re ever over in Vienna, check out Cafe Amouri. My favorite blend isn’t dark (and I live far away now so I just order the one I like) but they’ve got a great selection. |
| Counter Culture. |
| Ceremony. Sold at Whole Foods, Dawson's Market, and online. |
| I like Melitta Classic. |
This is also my favorite and what got me liking dark roast coffee. I usually have Starbucks French roast and grind my own, but Peets is my favorite. |
Agree with the many other posters who suggested Peet's and yes, you can find it just about anywhere. It is at Giant, Safeway, Costco, Target, Amazon Subscribe and Save. Costco and Amazon have the best deals. It's kind of pricey at the grocery store. |
Please don’t do Ceremony they are the epitome of snotty coffee culture. |

If you're in Maryland, you must try Zeke's!
Locally roasted coffee beans, great business. They are at some farmers markets and have a shop on Rhode island Ave and also mail order. Partial to Italian roast myself but others are also great. |
+1 I like Tell Tale Dark…I am not in MD but am addicted so order it online. |
Also my favorite! You can get it at any Safeway. |
Agree - not sure it will meet your bitter criteria but I am obsessed with Guatemalan, which I think is a blend made for Whole Foods. You can order direct from Zekes and just call them and tell them what you want - they will advise what to buy.. |
| Cafe Bustelo! |
| Omg. Some real coffee snobs on here recommending Peets, LOL!!! |
