| I like dark, bitter coffee roasts. What is a decent coffee brand? |
| Do you need it to be available at a regular grocery? Or would you go to a roastery or specialty place to get it? Are you in DC? |
| Peet’s |
| I really like Stumptown. You can order it online directly from them but I've seen certain roasts at Whole Foods and Target. |
| Seattle's Best is good and not expensive. They used to rank them by number, which I liked. The darkest is 5. They have now rebranded with both names and numbers. I also like Verona and Sumatra to give you an idea. I also use Lavazza. |

| Costco has an extensive selection, both their house brands and others. Hard to beat their pricing and quality is uniformly high. |

Peet's Major Dickason blend.
Mayorga Chesapeake Bay roasting Co. Cattail Trader Joe's Bay Blend or French roast |
|
Mayorga, sometimes you can order from Costco; they are located in MD. You might want to buy a coffee grinder and get the whole beans.
Harris teeter brand is ok, and goes on sale. |

+1 French Roast. We've tried others. Been using this for 20 years. DH likes really dark coffee, and after 20 years, I'm used to it, too. I find others now too weak. |
| Aldi fair trade dark roast. They also have organic single origin dark roasts. |
