APS teacher assignments — when?

Does the child's grade not change until teacher assignments? My kid is a rising 2nd grader, but Parentvue still has her grade listed as 1st.

The accounts were already turned over briefly in June. They reverted back for summer school which is based on last year’s grade level. Teacher assignments definitely never post until the week before school. Usually HS schedules show up a few days before school begins too.

So that’s what it was - I saw my kid’s account had moved on to the next school, and then went back, so I was worried because we are doing a school transfer and I thought it might be getting rescinded.

I'm a teacher and the view from my side still shows my 2021-2022 class as my "current" class.

Hmmm, This probably depends on how crowded/how many kids are in each grade. Because people fail to register their children until the last minute, often they have to make last-minute changes, hire a new teacher, shift classes around, etc. in our 10+ years in APS we’ve never received teacher assignments before the end of August/ week before school starts.

Fair point - that was me: we are at ATS, so there is not likely to be a huge wave of late registrations.

Update--as of this afternoon, last year's info was cleared out, and my kid now shows the correct grade for 2022-2023 in ParentVue. We were told teacher assignments would be mailed out Aug 11th.
