How do you get a defined back?

I would agree if we were talking about abs which some might never achieve even super lean, because they hold all their fat over them, but a defined back should be possible for pretty much anyone. Sure, it will be easier for some than others, but the recipe is the same for all: lift weights and get lean.

Absolutely agree! Having back muscles is not genetic.


People that carry fat in their stomach area also carry more around back too. Stomach rolls and bra strap rolls go hand in hand

Both muscle and definition are built in the kitchen, and secondarily in the gym.

DP, but some people absolutely are genetically disposed to be overall leaner than others, i.e., lower body fat all over.

Most of the rest of us, though, tend to carry fat in certain places. Mine all goes to my hips and thighs, so it’s easier for me to have a defined back and arms. I’d have to starve myself to get defined legs. Others, it’s the opposite.
