The FB group is a great recommendation, but you need to read everything closely. For example, in state tuition is only guaranteed for dependents of veterans if used within three years of the veteran leaving the service. SOME states do grant in state tuition for anyone using the GI Bill, but the law doesn't require it. Again, read everything carefully as many of these questions are very fact specific.

Yep. 100%. People do sometimes give info trying to be helpful but are unaware of special circumstances because there are so dang many issues going on. I was clueless when my child started looking at colleges, and this Facebook group gave me a great starting point. Every college has a VA office, so once you get serious about a few schools, call their particular VA office and speak with them.
