| This is a super weird OP. Is it a marketing post? |
| I for one love the high speed death wobble and incessant electrical gremlins that plague modern Jeeps. It’s what you expect from a $50,000 mall cruiser. |
Mine does not have either. |
| I hate jeeps and fervently hate anyone who drives one. The urge to slash the tires every time I see one is overpowering. |
Mostly people drive Jeeps because driving a Jeep makes them happy. Literally NO ONE drives a Jeep Wrangler because they HAVE TO. They drive them because they enjoy it. I’m sorry seeing happy people incites such anger in you. I hope things get better for you. |
The wave and the Jeeps help Jeeps are real things. We are a family of Jeep owners - have three. My oldest kid is the poster child for Jeeps help Jeeps. He is always towing people, helping fix problems etc. it’s a nice culture. Oh and we all off road - no pavement princesses in our house. And I love getting ducked and ducking others. |
Same/same It’s a culture all it’s own. We’ve met so many great people at Jeep Jamborees, Camp Jeep, and other off-road events. Good, decent, wholesome people. The kind of people who help others they literally just met in the middle of the woods somewhere, just because those people like Jeeping, too. |
I wanted to “want” a Gladiator soooo bad. A Mojave, specifically. God do I love the way they look. But I just couldn’t make one work for us. It’s just too small inside, and there’s four of us. That leaves ALL our cargo in the bed (and in the elements) on any trip or trail ride, unless two of us stay home. Yeah, yeah, I know they make tonoue covers and even bed caps, but it’s still too small inside. The thing that ultimately made me go with another Unlimited was on solo/duo weekend trail trips where it’s just me or my wife, I/we sleep IN the Jeep, with the rear seats folded flat. There’s just no way to sleep flat in a Gladiator unless you’re in the bed. |
I feel the exact same way about Audi, MB and BMW’s. At least I can actually work on my Jeep, without having a $100k manufacturer-proprietary computer system to interface with the vehicle to reset the oil change light.
