Thoughts on this House in Potomac?

You guys clearly don’t know the neighborhood. It’s a dated house but everything nearly has gone for 900+, and fast. House around the corner from mine just went for over $1m.

If OP is for real and not an agent, it’s fine. Needs work, but lots of people want to buy fixer-uppers to get into a good neighborhood.

Yup. Many of the houses in this neighborhood are dated. For that price, buy it and fix it up.

The house is the house, regardless of who posted it. What a weird thing to say. So if an agent posted it you're required to $hit on it? I get it annoys you, but it's childish and backwards too.

+1. It’s super dated but livable. An updated house in the same neighborhood will cost quite a bit more. A family can move in right now and save up to renovate slowly.

Here's another solid house - same price range, also in Potomac. Move in ready, large size, nice lot. Wonder why at this price, it hasn't been sold yet.

It's a nice size for the price for Potomac but it's zoned for RM so by default many families would avoid unless they're doing private.

Ahhh....ok well that explains it. But I did hear that RM has improved over the years.

It's dated and needs to be reno'd but for this price point, many young couples looking to get into Potomac would be very happy indeed.

Buy the cheapest house in the best neighborhood as they say.

That's probably exactly what someone told the person who bought the property in Chevy Chase aka the ugliest renovation in the DMV.

It’s cheap and in Churchill district. That’s all is has going for it.

A plot in that area that size is at least $700k. That is Zoned Churchill.

Think of it as a 99k house. Really buying plot 700k and house for 99k
