Best slasher movie - any with real depth?

I enjoyed this movie a lot and I’m not a typical horror movie person. I don’t think it’s a slasher movie. (It’s a requirement of the assignment).


Ooh, would Us by Jordan Peele fit the requirements? Loved that movie, and also lots to analyze

I am not sure Us would qualify.

Definitely Psycho (the original). Hitchcock is textbook for film studies!

Candyman (original or remake) could also get the job done.
