We pay around $2100 at St Albans for our 2.5 year old. Meals included, that gets you 10 hours of car per day. They still are not fully back to their pre-COVID hours.
It’s a good program and I think the pricing is on par for nonprofit daycare centers in NW DC. You will pay more at for-profit daycare centers, particularly in the central business district (closer to $2500) |
This has got to be the Glover Park KinderCare. The prices for that place are just dumb. |
Pretty sure 1:8 for toddlers, and 7:30am - 5:30pm. |
2.5+ means over age 2.5 |
$2100/mo, Falls Church, 1:3 for toddlers and 7am-6pm. We're very happy. |
2240 in NE DC, with meals. |
I looked into Bright Horizons in Rosslyn a while back and it was approx $3k per month. |
Wow. Some of these prices are insane. We pay $735/2 weeks for our 3 year old at a federally-sponsored center in downtown DC. |
Agree, which one does your kid go? Thank you |
Just went down as DC moved out of the youngest class. About 1700 a month for federal sponsored daycare in dc. |
2500 in NW DC for a 12 month old. |
That kindercare is 2500 for infants. |
Holy crap! Where is this? This is significantly above normal. I would say average would be $2200ish. You can get a little lower (we pay slightly under this) and it can go up to about $2500, but even that is a bit excessive. Almost 3k is insane. |
1:3 ratio for toddlers? don't kid yourselves. That may be so when you drop of or pick up, not during the day. The center would go broke with such ratio. |
This seems right, we pay $2500 for an infant but it's going up to $2700 in the fall (NW DC residential neighborhood). Would have been much cheaper to send baby to federally sponsored daycare downtown, but that was still going to be at least 2200. Seems like there's a premium now for residential neighborhood daycares as people are commuting less. |
