Please don’t extrapolate an individualized experience to predict what another woman will experience. 2 years postpartum and I definitely still have scar issues and pain, plus other issues from my first vaginal birth. Every woman is an individual. We all recover differently after we give birth. Some people go entirely back to how they were before, some are able to get there more or less with help and pelvic floor PT, and some women have permanent issues that can require extensive treatment and support, and which might never reverse (eg incontinence, prolapse, etc) and may even require surgery to address. Thankfully we have options for care and treatment but let’s not pretend we know anything else about OP other than that she is eager to move. |
if you want movement check out the belle method on IG she has a whole PP program |
| Go easier than you think to start! I walked around the block at maybe 6 days pp after a c-section and really regretted it half way. I pushed myself too hard. |

3 weeks out I walked about a mile (browsing shops with stroller and waking very slowly) and my scar split. It was a minor tear with minor bleeding but I was surprised! While out shopping I felt totally fine until the very end it was like I hit a wall. I am regular runner and love king walks.
I don’t know if I had major complications because of this but a couple years later a had ectopic due to scarring in tubes. Anyway, not to scare you but just saying I wish I had read this thread years ago before I had my c section! I did not realize when they said to walk around they meant a couple minutes. They really need to be more explicit with directions post c section and also have more frequent check ins with the mom. Not just this one appt 6 weeks out |
