Ideas for a reconciliation meal?

Do people really like peaches in salad? Not appealing to me.

The salad is fine if you know she likes it… peaches with goat cheese is off-putting to me. Cranberries would make more sense. Also, I am allergic to walnuts… make sure your friend isn’t. It’s a common allergy. Lastly, I agree there should be some protein.

I think your salad sounds yummy but I am worried about how you're going to serve it. Will you bring it already in individual bowls? And how will you handle salad dressing?

I agree that some bread with a nice butter or spread would be good. And you need something for dessert.

This is such a cheap shitty scenario. Peaches with goat cheese and walnuts is barf times. I doubt anyone is friends with you when you show up with this crap on a blanket with bugs etc.

Go to a freaking restaurant like the Real Housewives.

Yeah, I have to agree. I love fruit, nuts and goat cheese(and yes to the honey suggestion) in salads, but it will be a hot mess at a picnic. Actually, all picnics are uncomfortable and overrated. Go to a deli/cafe and get a sandwich and sit outside. Get a to go ice tea and go for a walk and talk it out.

You have got to be kidding me. Slimy peach chunks, sun hot goat cheese, wilted lettuce, potentially life-threatening walnuts, on a blanket. Sitting crops-legged and talking it out. Balancing a hot mess of salad on your knee. Name one thing that could make this situation more awkward, uncomfortable, and gastronomically inappropriate. Okay. Gazpacho!

Yeah, the idea of sitting outside eating a hot salad doesn't appeal to me at all.

Meet at a bar and have a few margaritas and some nachos and either hug it out or fist fight!

100% this.

+2-- if you want a successful reconnection OP-- it needs to be about her + not you. Your salad idea sounds like diet food. You need something more.

I am also allergic to walnuts.

I would not be impressed by this "lunch." And I don't like eating salad outside sitting on the ground. Get a sandwich, or some fried chicken, or just go get a cocktail at a bar or a coffee.
