Ideas for a reconciliation meal?

Anonymous

I had a falling out with a friend three years ago and want to invite her to share a meal and make amends. I’m thinking about serving a spinach and arugula salad with peaches, goat cheese, red onion, and walnuts.

What would go well with this? Maybe a bread and a flavored butter? Apricot butter?

Other ideas?

If we had a falling out i wouldn't want to go to your house, I would rather meet you somewhere public.

It’s a picnic at lunch in a public place.

A big loaf of bread. So you can “break bread” together.

I think it sounds perfect and I’d add bread, bottle of rosé, and some chocolates.

If you’re making amends, choose a menu that you know your friend likes. That will be at least a small sign that you’ve thought about her and paid attention to her preferences.

I don’t mean to be nasty, but that is not a meal, unless you both eat like rabbits. At least throw in some hard boiled eggs or a store cooked chicken. Personally, if presented with spinach, peaches, and goat cheese, I’d find it hard not to gag. JMHO
