Obv you don’t know what you’re talking about. Depending how your child places, she may be able to swim the stroke on Monday’s b meet, too. |
Not at our D1 pool |
|
Ours can't swim it if they placed 1,2, or 3rd on Saturday. otherwise can swim what they want.
|
| There are different developmental leagues within the NVSL, with varying rules applying to A meet swimmers swimming in B meets. |
This. Our team only has a few kids in some ages so they swim both. |
Why be so rude? Many ways to say that in a nicer way. |
| Have an extra cap and goggles! |
Lol how were the parents awful, most are busy wqtching |
| Main thing is to remember that A meet participation is fluid....you may swim three strokes one week, and not qualify for any the next. |
| How’d it go, OP? |
| My kid is swimming in A meets. But we are a division N pool lol…. So it’s great but she’s not really all that great. |
Not surprising from a swim parent. Some are really nice. Others are like the above. For our pool, whatever you swim for the A meet, you CANNOT swim for the dev meet. If someone beats your Sat time on Monday night, you are out. |
| Biggest thing is to make sure your kid is in the right place before their heat. |
That is kinda stressful! In our league you're allowed to swim an event at the B meet if you didn't place 1/2/3 in that event at the A meet. This is always interesting in 8 and unders because sometimes kids who aren't too fast will still place 1/2/3 in breast or fly because half the heat DQ'd, and then not be allowed to swim that event at the B meet even though they really aren't that great at it. Other times the A meet will have some fast swimmers on the opposing team, and a kid who is also pretty fast gets edged out for 4th place but then gets to swim that event at the B meet and crushes everyone. Just luck of the draw! |
Not necessarily! You can have slow kids in A division A meets and fast kids in N division meets. We are at a middle of the road team and have a swimmer that regularly swims at Coaches’s Long Course and All Stars. |
