Congrats! A meets are way more fun. We warned, though, that they can get bumped at anytime in the season if someone beats them in a B meet.
I mean beats their time. Obv, your kid won't be swimming the A meet stroke at the B meet.
Obv you don’t know what you’re talking about. Depending how your child places, she may be able to swim the stroke on Monday’s b meet, too.
Why be so rude? Many ways to say that in a nicer way.
Not surprising from a swim parent. Some are really nice. Others are like the above. For our pool, whatever you swim for the A meet, you CANNOT swim for the dev meet. If someone beats your Sat time on Monday night, you are out.
That is kinda stressful! In our league you're allowed to swim an event at the B meet if you didn't place 1/2/3 in that event at the A meet. This is always interesting in 8 and unders because sometimes kids who aren't too fast will still place 1/2/3 in breast or fly because half the heat DQ'd, and then not be allowed to swim that event at the B meet even though they really aren't that great at it. Other times the A meet will have some fast swimmers on the opposing team, and a kid who is also pretty fast gets edged out for 4th place but then gets to swim that event at the B meet and crushes everyone. Just luck of the draw!
