If the GoFundMe for the reading specialist is to be believed, it says she was told on June 1st that she'd be reinstated at Taylor. |
I don’t think some principals understand how labor relations has ballooned as a responsibility in this era of under appreciated and disgruntled teachers. They don’t have the leverage they used to. |
Wouldn’t contributions to the go fund me legal defense conflict with APS’s gift giving rules? I’m glad she’s been reinstated if that’s true and I hope she’s given fair consideration for the principal position of she applies. |
Any updates on candidates? |
Haven't heard anything but the job posting has been taken down, so I assume they've made a decision. |
INR. Maybe y'all will get a child too. |
They didn’t announce tonight.
They did announce a bunch of new positions with long titles. Wonder if APS really needs to add more central office staff. smh |
+1 |
No one wants to be a principal in this environment. You have to manage both a restless burnt out staff, and then angry customers (parents) with shrinking budgets. |
They've got to announce this at the July 1st meeting, right? Does the SB even meet the rest of July? |
And yes, just got the email that answered my question above. It will be announced at the 7/1 SB meeting. |
Yes it’s really absurd the bloat going on at Syphax. |
Who emailed you? We are part PTA and registered at school but nada |
It came from the APSSchoolTalk email: "Dear Taylor Families, I am writing with an update on the Taylor Elementary School principal search. After reviewing the candidates and community survey feedback, I have identified a highly qualified leader to present for School Board approval at the July 1 meeting. I made the decision to move forward based on the excellent qualifications the candidate brings to the role and the need to have strong leadership in place for the start of the new school year. The appointment will be announced Friday via School Talk following Board approval. Sincerely, Dr. Francisco Durán, Superintendent" |
Can someone forward post I am not on school talk. |
