Someone spent some money on that house. I love the honey color of the White Oak wide-plank floors. They are gorgeous. And that roll-up gate in the fence was kaching to install. They are great for a property like this and almost impossible to get installed right now.
I like the house a lot. If we were a young couple right now, we'd take a good look at that house. Love the area. But it isn't for everyone. |
| Hehehehe solid try |
| Sure! It’s a little boring and the finishes are a little trendy, but it seems nice. |
| Planes! Better duck every 40-9 seconds! |
I bet he can get much bigger, newer and better house there with $2.75 million. |
|
No one should pay $2.75m for that - it’s on Sherier!
Albeit one on Chain Bridge by there did despite the general awfulness of not knowing if a plane or a car was coming at you faster |
Are you joking? Houses on Sherier are going for close to and above $3 million regularly at this point. There is a house 3 doors down from this one that will be going on the market imminently for $3.65 million. |
More fool the buyers. Read the plane noise thread. That area is a disaster, |
| gorgeous areas of DC with much better infrastructure can be had for the same price. Why on Earth would anyone spend that kind of money under a flight path, with no grocery store nearby, terrible traffic? |
| Hate when people gaslight, especially delusional real estate agents. We all live in the same place and see the same listserve posts, including today. Flight path is out of control. No one sane will drop over $3m for that in the Palisades. Those days are gone |
Oh, I think I know the one. Is it where the guy blasts music and runs fans on his porch to drown out the places and MacArthur traffic? Good luck finding a sucker buyer. Looks nice but what a nightmare. Gorgeous places in elegant parts of the town for that price |
| “drown out the planes” |

From another thread, truer words have not been spoken:
I think Palisades ppl don't bring legal/other challenges bc they are focused on their housing value. They don't want to bring more attention to the issue bc it would depress prices. This way, they can foist their houses onto unsuspecting buyers with ease |
That would be Spring Valley and WWI poison gas. Remember, the US government found more WMD in Spring Valley than in all of Iraq! |
| Whichever agent started this thread must be regretting it bitterly by now |
