Bringing a reusable cup to Starbucks. Is this how it usually works?

BUT! I read recently that they're bringing it back as part of an effort to get greener.

So they are brining it back... in 2 years? Why would this take so long?

They are ridiculous. No reusable cup, no coffee for me. I hate to order take out for that reason too. All the plastic! We can do better.

Yes, brew coffee at home. Starbucks is gross.

For the past month they’ve had a promotion where if you bring a reusable cup, you get 25 stars in the rewards program. 50 stars = a coffee or tea so for everyone two I’ve been buying, I’ve been getting one free.

Since we can’t use our own cups anymore, I know Loco go to Starbucks. All the Starbucks cups being sent to the landfill sicken me. I buy my coffee and brew my own

The hot drinks are served in a paper cup. It breaks down very fast.

Disposable coffee cups typically have a plastic resin, or polyethylene, lining. Polyethylene is a petroleum-based plastic, requiring more than 231,000 barrels of oil to line our paper cups every single year.

Thats disgusting. Im so glad I make my coffee at home now

One of the reasons I get my coffee at Panera instead of Starbucks. At Panera, I pay $8.99 per month and I go in with my reusable cup and can fill up as much as I want from any of the coffee or tea available. Serve yourself.

Most drip coffee makers have plastic parts that sit in hot water, fyi. I don't know why, but even the $300 Technivorm.
