| You're tasting the omega fatty acids from grass fed beef. Buy some cheapo ground beef from Walmart and it will taste more like you remember. |
+1 |
| Vegan option - cooked, brown lentils works for ground meat in many recipes |

I can't stand grass fed beef. It tastes like grass to me.
We only eat ground beef once or twice a month and when we do, I just buy the regular ground beef that's 96/4 or 93/7. |
| I use ground dark meat turkey and ground lamb. Without knowing what types of recipes and seasonings you’re using, and without knowing what sort of flavor profile you’re trying to match, I’d suggest that you purchase a cut of beef that you like —and have it custom ground for you. You can also do this yourself if your mixer has a meat grinder attachment. |
| For a burger, try the Impossible Burger - sooo good!! |
Ew. |
Sounds impossible to stomach |
| Is there sone other cut of beef you like? You can have the butcher grind it up for you. My mom used to wait for the store to put roasts on sale and then have them trimmed and ground. |

Like others say, get proper ground chuck or ground sirloin etc. from butcher.
Alternatively depending on what you want it for, I’ve become a BIG proponent of ground chicken in the pandemic. I’d never willingly order a ground chicken burger or meatloaf, but I have curated quite the rotation of ground chicken meatball & pasta recipes that are delicious! |
Um just walk through the meat section and look for ground meet that’s not beef? You can’t figure this one out? |
Lol! Grain fed beef contains very high levels of omega 6. Where do you people come up with this garbage? I’ve never seen a dumber collection of arrogant people in my life. |
I also prefer ground chicken to ground turkey. Ground turkey typically is leaner than chicken, so you might prefer chicken as a beef substitute in recipes. |
| We eat a lot of deer. Deee lish |
