OP here. Are you a second amendment fan? Do you consider yourself “pro-life?” And you have the nerve to call me “sick?” No, honey. You are evil. |
This thread is definitely in poor taste, but the fact is that these children’s lives were worth less to the Republican Party (especially in Texas) once they were born than their lives were worth when they were still in the womb. Texas Republicans are regulating women’s healthcare and reproductive freedoms to a frightening extent in the name of saving fetuses’ lives, but will not restrict gun ownership or the right to carry a gun to save actual living, breathing children who already have personhood. Absolutely despicable. |
+1 Bunch of pearl clutching forced birthers upset that we noticed that they need more victims for their human sacrifices. |
Gee. Ya think? There is one killer here. And, fortunately - he is dead. I am thoroughly disgusted by the posts here. I cannot understand, truly, why it is so hard for you to blame the actual killer. |
I am disgusted by your stupidity and your obtuseness. Of course we are blaming the killer. But if you fail to acknowledge how the killer was able to legally purchase assault rifles, you are doing nothing to prevent the next child massacre, and the next, and the next. You are an enabler of evil if you vote Republicans into office who will oppose gun control laws and who will oppose health care bills to provide mental health care services. You are part of the problem. You. |
Because this didn’t happen in a vacuum. It’s not an isolated incident. It’s become a regular occurrence. This was just one of many school shooters. We can’t design policies around one single criminal (and it wouldn’t help after he’s already committed the crime anyway), but we can make policy to address societal ills that cost numerous lives every single day. |
But the killer was completely enabled and cheered on by the GOP and the gun lobby. |
No, you are not. |
How stupid are you? Are you not willing to do anything to prevent the next massacre of babies? |
Apparently they aren't. Just want to force women to birth babies for adoption. |
Because you’re putting too much stock into personal choice, and this wasn’t a choice. This was a predictable outcome to Republican policies. It will keep happening. And people like you are making sure that happens. |
| Huma sacrifices must be made! - the GOP |
What's disgusting is that it's the truth. Republicans value the 2nd Amendment more than the lives of children. Prove me wrong. Which would they choose between if they had to: the 2nd Amendment, or to restore the lives of all the children murdered in this past year alone by bullets? |
And yet, if we could go back in time and put through legislation to forbid the sale of AK-15s or the sale of weapons to teenagers, or to make a 24 hour wait period, or to require safety training for the purchase of guns, would you agree to do it knowing these would have prevented the deaths of 19 children? Yes or no? I'm guessing with you it's a hard no, and am thoroughly disgusted by that. |
But, it is true. Over 300,000 children have been massacred in school shootings since Sandy Hook. Why do you care so much about the unborn? You are a hypocrite. |
